This is it, the moment I have been waiting for ever since Japan caught my eye, my life in Tokyo.
From my home town of Barneveld, WI, the weather in Tokyo is not too much differant from the cold and sunny skies. But downtown Tokyo is like swimming in a pool of lights, technology, and a lot of people avid to get to where they are going. But even though having to ajust to this new lifestyle of teaching junior-high english all the way in Japan, has been incredible because of all the new places to go and see. The architechture is amazing!!! Just from the moment I entered the city with buildings climbing high above my head.
Today was my first day in Ochiai dai Junior-high school and I entered during the middle of lunch. Everybody eats the exact same way by using the sankaku-shiki tabekata or the triangle eating style the students take clump a rice and put it in their mouth, then taking a peice of beef and salad and then eats all of the foods together. I asked the head of the school about this and he says that what and you eat is good fior growing a strong community. I was puzzled by this but I still knew that there was much bigger things coming up than this.
